Detroit-based glass artist Joshua Wojick (American, b. 1981) reaches beyond conventional glassblowing, bringing new perspectives and insights into the material and process. His works express the inherent fragility and structural nature of glass. Building on his foundation in the traditions of Murano furnace glassblowing, Wojick has honed his craft over decades of practice, studying under renowned glass artists and incorporating masterful traditions into his art collections.
Wojick’s educational history includes a BFA from the College for Creative Studies and an MFA in Sculpture from Eastern Michigan University. Leading the Crafts Program at The Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, his foundation as an exhibited artist and educator lends to his knowledge and expertise in the field. Exhibited and collected globally, his representation with Method & Concept spans over a decade and continues with available works in Naples, Florida as well as commissions for private clients.
