Inspired by quantum physics and Zen philosophy, the deeply spiritual artist Lyès-Olivier Sidhoum (French, b. 1972) questions our perceptions of reality through his paintings, photography, and light installations. “I love when art expands in space and becomes our environment, surrounding us, unifying us, taking us to another reality.”
Lyès began his art career in graffiti, curating and exhibiting his installation paintings internationally while living and working in New York City and Hong Kong, before establishing the Source Project in Lyon, France, in 2012. Source is an ongoing artistic exploration of large-scale wall sculptures featuring circular chroma-prints radiating color fields.
The contemporary art of Lyès has expanded to a global collector base, and since exhibiting with Method & Concept during his U.S. debut in 2018 with a solo exhibition entitled Source, his work has opened to private commissions.
