Mark Hartman is a fine art photographer whose skill in discovering compelling subject matter produces captivating images that are full of the vibrancy of life.
A deeply compassionate artist, Hartman is also a meditation practitioner and world traveler for his art and profession. A bi-coastal artist his time is shared between the pacific views of California and the bustling energy of New York, though his roots are based in New York City; his primary residence.
Educated at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Hartman went on to teach at the City College of New York before fully dedicating his career to fine art photography. With a reputation for his technical skill and mastery of the frame, his fine art photography is featured in publications such as The New York Times, Vogue, Esquire, The New Yorker, Harper’s, Dwell, Time, and more.
