REPRESENTED ARTIST
Kate Silvio is a Detroit-educated and trained sculptor, who lives and works in Grand Rapids, Michigan. For the past several years, her work has evolved from sculptures grounded in steel, to include rubber, felt, bronze castings and wood. The language created by planar material expresses her focus of evolution, broken progression and the feelings that accompany that change.
Silvio is an alumna of the College of Creative Studies and The Cranbrook Academy of Art and has shown extensively in the Midwest. She has also spent a great deal of time working on commissions, most notably for The Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield, Michigan, The Hotel Baronette in Novi, Michigan and Cambridge Consulting, Detroit, Michigan.
