Kim Keever
Kim Keever (American, 1955–2025), a renowned experimental photographer known for his large-scale abstractions akin to underwater action painting, was influential in contemporary art for his photographs of bold and colorful clouds of swirling forms. His works are held in numerous museums and collections, including New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, as well as Washington, D.C.’s Hirshhorn Museum and the Harvard Library. Keever’s highly technical and innovative process is revered for its original use of technology and experimentation. A graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk VA, Keever began his career as a thermal engineer working for NASA before immersing himself in his art career in New York that spanned many decades. Exhibited by Method & Concept since 2013, a selection of the gallery’s private collection is available for acquisition.
