Peter Hermansson
Peter Hermansson is a Master Glass Artist based in Nybro, Sweden. His works encapsulate a unique, contemporary Swedish narrative, referencing historical glass traditions while also incorporating his graphically expressive graffiti styles. Following his formal studies at the Orrefors National Glass School; Hermansson evolved two significant Swedish glass techniques of Grall and Ariel, over more than two decades which have become a recognizable, signature style. Notably, Hermansson’s unique graphic illustrations are transferred into the surface of his glass vessels through an etching technique creating a powerful visual Narrative. Through his body of work, storytelling is central and closely tied to the craft as a continuum of expression. Hermansson is an internationally recognized and exhibited artist; represented by Method & Concept. His one-of-a-kind, innovative works including Graal and Ariel glass masterpieces are currently on view and available in Naples, Florida.
